Book Format

I would really like to make this book a little more interesting to read and for it to be visually appealing! Format is a great thing and can automatically make the book and interesting read. Along with this it needs to make sense along with being easy on the eyes, colour correct type use and as previously said format all come into this and I will need to investigate further into this to gain a professional finish to my very own books.

Here are some images on how my book could be constructed and soon I will have to use various materials and play about with concepts, tools and equipment that will be used within my final outcome.

Another typographical element, this caught my eye as i believe that this technique of almost a peak into the book could be used on the front cover of my book, a mask of what is to come, masks are a disguise concealment of information and this could be portrayed through this technique.

The concertina page format looks brilliant and allows the reader to explore the book with ease rather than turn a page and read. This could be used for time lines or used with every chapter! Allowing the reader to focus entirely on one chapter at a time knwoing where the start and finish is.

This typographical calender has given me a nice idea for the contents page, these numbers almost look like they are falling down from the top of the page and this idea could be used to display the page titles and or chapters within my book. This is aesthetically pleasing but is it in context with my project?
