Sleeve Design

Above are my original sketches for the sleeve. As you can see I have two ways I could go about it. I could go down the route of the sleeve like structure, similarly to the way Stefan Sagmeister presented his books.

Below are my digital drawings, edited with the psychedelic pattern that I would have on the cover of the book. I manipulated the opacity on the image below to see what happens if the focus was switched from the theme of Peace, Love, Vee-Dub to a more visually aesthetic psychedelic cover.

The two images above demonstrate how both the front and back of the cover would look like once lasercut into the black card. As you can see the pattern on the cover of the book can be seen through it, revealing a hidden image; then as you remove the book form the sleeve, the entire pattern can be seen.

Below is the original scan of my drawing as well as a cut out of the CND symbol to reinforce the theme.

and finally the net of the sleeve complete with cut and etch lines ready to be lasercut and fitted around the book itself.
