Choosing manifestos

For my contemporary manifesto I chose Bruce Mau’s – ‘Incomplete Manifesto for Growth.’ We began to analyse this is one of the manifesto workshops, and thats partly why I chose it, because I found that although some of the points were really good and fit well with general design, some of the points contradicted each other and I thought it would be interesting to look more deeply into it and argue them out.

The historical manifesto I chose, was the Surrealist manifesto (the first, to be honest I never even realised they had two). I chose this one because we had looked in to Surrealism in one of the lectures and it sounded quite interesting, as it inspired a lot of conceptual art even now.
