Jessica Hagy is a designer that used simple charting and humour to get the point across. I like the simplicity of her work but how it works so easily. It’s easy to read and understands and plays and concepts already known and maybe what is known but no one is brave enough to say. They don’t look like the tradition polished up infographics you often see and bring graphics back to what I think it’s best at, the simple stuff. Some things can be overworked and overthought and I think that’s one of the reasons it works so well. Although I’m sure she has thought a lot about it, it feels like one of those first doodles you do when you’re on the phone chatting to your mum and you have an idea to do with something that wasn’t even being discussed.
