So we had to pair off a couple of weeks ago to do the live briefs. Me and Chris chose to work together. We’ve known each other for a while, have worked together a few time, and we both respect each others design opinions, so I think we make a pretty good team.
Our first choice out of all the briefs was: design a way for the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) to communicate and celebrate its rich history to a range of stakeholders. Initially I wanted to do one of the briefs that was to do with the NHS, however I knew these would be popular and I was afraid that there would be a lot of restrictions as to what things could look like considering it would be something that’s placed in a hospital.
Anyway after reading through the brief thoroughly I’m really excited to get stuck into it. It sounds like an interesting challenge to appeal to such a variety of people and even to the clients of the charity, so to somehow incorporate them into it will be a completely new challenge.
The real briefing is tomorrow where I think we’ll be given more details on it. I’m going to look into the charity a bit before then and see what it’s all about.
