‘Presumption’. ***

A play at the crucible. Not normally one to run to see plays, this was a slightly foreign experience. The whole play was based around one relationship and the workings, and questioning the audience about what relationships mean and why we have them.

The play showed a couple through the ups and downs of the relationship. It was quite moving as you see the resemblances through your own relationships, with a bit of added humour. The repetition in the play was quite telling. Although it looked like it was because they kept missing bits, and restarting. I think it was showing how relationships quickly become repetitive over the years, and how although it gets repeated, and you question the feelings, you still go along with it and you still build a life together, with friends, and ‘stuff’.

In the end it was quite emotional
