These examples are fun, modern and clear, all something that I want for my final design. They don’t overload you with information or words or colours.

  1. where are these images from? who are the designers? Where did the designers get the data from to make these posters? (are they postes or from a website? Does that matter?)

    The bottom image looks like it is framed in a journalistic context – it may appear in a magazine or popular newspaper – do you know the source? Did you read Peter Hall’s essay ‘Bubbles, Lines and String: How Information Visualization Shapes Society’? There’s a short section about critical cartography which will help frame the way you start to think about your project.
